The Space

Blue Spruce Haven is one of four unique suites within the Animas Valley Lodge. This second-story retreat features:

• Sleeping Arrangements: A spacious Primary King room and a cozy Queen guest room.
• Full Kitchen & Dining: A complete kitchen and a built-in dining booth for easy family meals.
• Entertainment: Fast Spectrum Internet, Smart TV, record player, and a curated collection of books and games.
• Outdoor Living: Enjoy valley views from the shared front porch or retreat to your private, fully fenced backyard featuring a 4-person hot tub, charcoal BBQ, and outdoor dining.

Positioned at the junction of Hwy 550 and CR 203, you are perfectly placed for Colorado adventure:

• 3 Minutes: City Market Grocery (North Durango).
• 9 Minutes: Historic Downtown Durango.
• 24 Minutes: Purgatory Mountain Resort.
• Car-Free Options: The Durango Transit trolley stop is within walking distance, offering affordable and safe transport into downtown.

Pet-Friendly Living

We don’t just "allow" dogs—we welcome them!

• Fully Fenced Yard: Plenty of space for your pups to roam safely.
• Details: Maximum of 3 dogs. A one-time $50 pet cleaning fee applies (please add pets as guests when booking).
• Paws on Furniture: We provide throw blankets so your pups can snuggle with you—just cover the furniture to help us keep things tidy for our local cleaners.
• Pet Services: Inquire about local pet sitters for walks or playtime while you're out exploring!

Guest Access & Logistics

• Dual Entry: Access the suite via the front stairs or use the private, ground-level rear entrance for easier loading/unloading.
• Parking: Two dedicated spaces (one in front, one by the backyard entrance).
• Privacy: While you have private quarters and a private backyard, the lodge sits on an acre with shared walls. We ask all guests to be respectful of neighbors and the quiet valley atmosphere.

A Note on the Environment

The Animas Valley Lodge is located near Hwy 550, a major mountain thoroughfare. While the backyard offers privacy against Animas City Mountain, you will hear the hum of the highway during the day—it’s the small trade-off for having such quick access to both the mountains and the city.
